About
Junior Skills Challenge is an online and interactive program that focuses on developing the key golf skills of putting, chipping and driving. The top competitors nationally are invited to compete in the annual Junior Skills Challenge National Event that will be hosted by Golf Canada August 19 & 20, 2023 at Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club.
The Golf Manitoba Junior Skills Challenge is proudly supported by the Alex & Peggy Colonello Foundation and the Southwood Golf & Country Club. Through the generosity of the Foundation, Golf Manitoba is able to offer this event at no cost to participants.
Event Details
Date: July 16, 2023
Host Venue: Southwood Golf & Country Club
Time: Registration opens from 2-3pm with the event running from 3 to 5pm. The range, short-game area and putting green will also be available starting at 2pm for players to warm-up.
Cost: Free
Other: A lunch will be provided to all participants.
*Please note that Southwood G & CC is a private member facility. Spectators and parents/guardians are welcomed and encourage to attend, however access to the clubhouse and facilities is not available during the event.

Junior skills challenge is open to junior golfers under the age of 15.
- U8 Boys & Girls
- U12 Boys & Girls
- U14 Boys & Girls
*the age classifications are based upon the participants' age as of August 20, 2023*
How to Register
To register, you must create a user account along with a password. Please note, for more than one entry per email address, you must add "+1" before the @ symbol. For example:
- janesmith@golf.com (for the first participant)
- janesmith+1@golf.com (for the next participant and so on)
